The Flue-Gas Desulfurization (FGD) process employs a number of technologies to remove sulfur dioxide (SO2) from coal-fired power plant flue gas emissions. FGD systems were created in response to the exhaust – flue gases – from fossil fuel-burning plants, primarily coal-burning plants, which posed an environmental and human health hazard.
APPLICATIONS
High SOx Removal Efficiency (Over 95%)
Available With Re-Heater & Integrated Stack
Low Power Consumption
Up Gradable to Meet Future Norms By-product Recovery
Free From Scaling & Plugging
Optimum Cost of Operation
Low Blow Down Rate & Water Usage
PROCESS
The process of FGD is designed to absorb the sulfur dioxide in the flue gas before it is released. This is accomplished through either a wet or a dry process.
